Haridwar: Yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Tuesday claimed that Patanjali Yogpeeth inspired India to become a self-reliant India and made a big contribution to the country’s economic prosperity.

Swami Ramdev said, ‘Patanjali is not a brand but a movement. We have given employment to five lakh people in five years and will give employment to five lakh more people in the coming five years.
‘Yoga brought from 2 people to 200 countries’
Yoga guru Swami Ramdev said, ‘Yoga was started with 2 people and today it has taken it to 200 countries.’ He further said, ‘Yoga has cured incurable diseases and today a large section of the world has joined yoga. Yoga is the biggest religion of this time.’
‘We have prepared more than 100 research based medicines’
Swami Ramdev said, ‘I am proud that more than 100 research and evidence based medicines have been made. Along with this, traditional, cultural medicines were also kept intact. We have a team of about five hundred scientists in this work.
‘Ruchi Soya’s turnover exceeded 16 thousand crores’
Describing the further role of Patanjali, Swami Ramdev said, ‘Further our focus is on research, health and education. Along with this, the focus has to be in agriculture as well. He further said, ‘We bought a sick company, Ruchi Soya, after which its annual turnover was Rs 16 thousand 318 crore. The country has contributed more than 30 thousand crore rupees to the economic prosperity of this country by combining different companies of Patanjali and Ruchi Soya. Our target ahead is huge.
