New Delhi. At present, the common people who are suffering from the cost of expensive petrol diesel are not getting relief from this. On Saturday, for the fourth consecutive day, an increase in oil prices has been recorded in the country. Today, on 23 October, an increase of 35 paise has been recorded in the price of oil. Thus the price of petrol in Delhi has reached Rs 107.24. Diesel also became costlier by 35 paise per liter and reached Rs 95.97 per liter.
On the other hand, there is no possibility of softening of oil prices. The main reason for this is the continuous inflation in the price of crude oil. Crude oil has risen 20 per cent in the last two months alone. This is having an impact on the petrol and diesel market around the world. Sri Lanka’s leading oil marketing company Lanka IOC has increased the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 5-5 only yesterday. In India too, diesel has become more expensive by more than Rs 7 in just one month.
