New Delhi: Amidst the increasing cases of Omicron across the country, the era of restrictions is returning again. After Delhi-Mumbai, now it has been announced to impose night curfew in Uttarakhand. State Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that due to the increasing case of Corona, night curfew has been imposed. Night curfew restrictions will remain in force from 11 pm to 5 am.
Legislative Assembly elections are also to be held in the state during the next two months and in such a situation, the Election Commission is monitoring the situation of Corona here. The state government has announced to impose night curfew in view of Omicron. During the night curfew, only people connected with essential services will be allowed to move.
According to the state government, vaccination is going on very fast in Uttarakhand and 100% people in the state have got the first dose of the vaccine. However, Omicron has also entered the state on the previous day and the first case was reported here.
Night curfew will be implemented in the capital Delhi from tonight after the highest number of Omicron cases in the country. Apart from this, night curfew has already been imposed in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Haryana. Currently, the number of Omicron cases in the country is 578, in which Delhi has the highest number of 142 cases. Apart from this, Maharashtra is in second number where 141 cases of Omicron have been reported.
