Mahindra XUV400 Booking: Tata Nexon EV is currently the best selling car in India’s electric car market. But now it seems that the difficult times have started for Tata Nexon. Mahindra recently launched its electric SUV XUV400 and started booking it on 26 January. Mahindra’s SUV has such a craze among the customers that in just 5 days this vehicle got more than 10,000 bookings. Means around 2000 people are booking it every day. While Tata Nexon EV has sold only 35 to 40,000 units even after years.
Let us tell you that Mahindra XUV400 is the company’s first electric SUV. It comes only in two variants. Its price ranges from Rs 16 lakh to Rs 19 lakh. Although the company had said that this price will remain only for the initial 5000 bookings, that is, now it is believed that the company can increase the price. Mahindra also announced that it will deliver the initial 20,000 units this year itself.

The XUV400 comes with two battery packs – 34.5kWh and 39.4kWh. Both the battery packs generate 150hp and 310Nm of torque through the electric motor. The company claims that this SUV can accelerate from 0-100 kilometers per hour in 8.3 seconds. It also gets three driving modes – Fun, Fast and Fearless.

charge, while the 39.4kWh battery offers a range of 456km on a single charge. The XUV400 can be charged from 0-80 percent within 50 minutes via a 50kW DC fast charger.

The top-spec XUV400 gets features like a 7.0-inch touchscreen, single-pane sunroof and connected car technology with over-the-air (OTA) updates. It gets 6 airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, IP67 rating for the battery pack and ISOFIX anchorages as safety kit.
