While Goa is the center of tourism, Rajkot is the main place of business. There was a long standing demand of the traders that Rajkot should also be connected with Goa. It is expected that the new initiative will not only boost business but also create a favorable environment for the state to increase tourism.
There is a boom in the stalled aircraft industry since the Corona period. At present, Rajkot has direct air connectivity from Delhi and Mumbai. Rajkot airport also welcomes the neighboring cities of Morbi and Jamnagar. Now, the townspeople of all the three districts have got the gift of a happy visit to Goa.
