- What was Harnaaz asked in the last round?
During the top three, the final round, all the participants were asked, “What advice would they give to young women facing pressure in today’s time so that they can face it?”
On this question Harnaaz Sandhu said, “The biggest pressure on today’s youth is to believe in themselves. Knowing that you are unique is what makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourself to others and whatever happens in the whole world.” It is very important to talk about what has happened. Come out, speak for yourself because you are the leader of your life. You are your own voice. I believe in myself and that is why I am standing here today.”
The answer to this question made Harnaaz on top of the top three and she was declared the winner.
Earlier, in the top-5 round, he was asked a question related to climate change.
She was asked, “Most people think climate change is a hoax, what would you do to convince them?”
Harnaaz Sandhu replied, “My heart breaks when I see nature going through so much trouble and it is all because of our irresponsible behaviour. I totally believe that this time is less. There is more work to be done because every one of our actions can either save or destroy nature. Prevention and protection is better than regretting and repairing. And friends, today I want to persuade you for this. I’m trying.”
Before Sandhu, only two Indians have been able to capture the Miss Universe title. Sushmita Sen won this title for the first time in 1994 and Lara Dutta for the second time in the year 2000.
