India’s largest Hero Cycles, part of the Hero Motors Company (HMC) Group, has successfully shipped its first batch of 200 ‘Made-in-India’ e-bikes to Germany in Europe. The company aims to be a leader in European Union (EU) markets as it has several units planned for the EU in the future.
Hero International – the European arm of the bike and HMC’s e-bike – said the company’s goal was to earn a living income of EURO 300 million by 2025, while contributing EURO 200 million from inanimate growth. The company has sent e-bikes under the HNF brand of International International. “This asset marks the next step in establishing HMC as the largest e-bike company fully integrated into Europe,” the company said.
Hero believes that the sale of e-bikes is expected to reach approximately 15 million units in Europe by 2030 and as a result, is expected to become a market leader in the sector. “We look forward to making state-of-the-art e-bikes a mix of HNF’s engineering and design technology and production capabilities, especially with the 100-acre Cycle Valley in Ludhiana,” said Jeff Weiss, London’s chief executive officer at Hero International.
The company added that its current collection of e-bikes to Europe overcame cycling disruptions caused by the coronavirus epidemic. While purchases are declining and leading to times of recurring items, the demand for bikes and e-bikes in the sky.
Hero has also established a digital purchasing company – Hero Supply Chain (HSC) – a specialized team in asset management and digital conversion, to address this growing need for bicycles and e-bikes.
