New Delhi: Indian Railway News: There is very good news for railway passengers. Now you will not need to go to the railway station and set a long line to book tickets offline. You can also book train tickets by visiting your nearest post office. Actually, Indian Railways has given the facility of booking train tickets from the post office keeping in view the facilities and needs of the passengers.
For this special facility, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the company that handles the ticket booking of railways, has taken the initiative. Let us tell you that this facility is part of the modernization plan of the Railways, under which the railway is starting the facility of train reservation at the post office in collaboration with the Postal Department.

According to the information given by the Railways, under this special facility, the beginning is being started from Uttar Pradesh where ticket booking facility will be made available in about 9147 post offices. This will save a lot of time of the people as they will not have to go to the station or their agents to book their train tickets. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw launched this new facility of IRCTC in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh.

Let us tell you that the villagers will benefit the most from this special service of the railway. Actually, people living in remote villages and remote locations will also have the facility to make reservations. Anyone can easily get their ticket from the nearest post office. Earlier, passengers had to stand in long queues at the station for offline tickets.
North Central Railway (NCR) Chief Public Relations Officer Shivam Sharma said that the Railway Minister inaugurated the terminal facilities and coaching complex including the newly constructed second entrance of Gomti Nagar railway station at a program organized at the station in the state capital. Sharma said that he also inaugurated the Gomti Nagar-Kamakhya Express, Mailani-Bichhiya Passenger train and Kanpur Central-Brahmavart MEMU train.
