PM Modi targeted the opposition, asked- why did the water not reach the people?

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the mobile app of Jal Jeevan Mission and Rashtriya Jal Jeevan Kosh after interacting with Gram Panchayats. During this, he also interacted virtually with water committees. PM Modi said, water conservation should be our priority. For this we have to make efforts on a war footing. He said that we should use the water as prasad. We have to change our habits regarding water. People should avoid wasting water. At the same time, farmers should also give more emphasis on less water crops.

During this, PM Modi took a jibe at the Congress without taking names. PM Modi said that the work which was not done in seven decades has been completed in two years. After all, I want to ask why drinking water did not reach the people in 70 years. In independent India, people were longing for clean water. This is very sad.
PM Modi said that this is also a big campaign of decentralization. This is a mission to be carried forward by the village and the women. Its main basis is mass movement and public participation. Modi said that empowerment of village women is one of the priorities of our government. Our government is paying special attention to the health of girls.
- Women’s share in water committee will increase
Launching the mobile app of Jal Jeevan Mission through video conferencing, Prime Minister Modi said that 50 percent women will have a share in the Jal Samiti. According to the information received from the Prime Minister’s Office, under the National Water Life Fund, water supply will be ensured at homes, schools and Anganwadi centers in rural areas and taps will be installed. Any individual, institution, company and NGO can donate to this fund.
PM Modi said that around 2 lakh villages have started waste management system and 40,000 gram panchayats have given up on single use plastic. Today the country is progressing rapidly under the self-reliant program. Work is going on on a war footing to clean the river Ganga. The sale of Khadi and handicrafts has also increased manifold.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi also tweeted about this. He wrote that on October 2 at 11 o’clock he would participate in the program of Jal Shakti and village development. During this, he will interact with Gram Panchayats and water committees to make them aware of water and tell the benefits of this mission. Along with this, Jal Jeevan Mission App and National Jal Jeevan Kosh will also be launched.
