PM Modi will launch the National Digital Health Mission
The digital health infrastructure of the country will be integrated under the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM). Under this scheme, the government is preparing to bring about a big change in the health system of the country.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM) through video conference on Monday, after which the Prime Minister will also give his address on the occasion. Under NDHM, every Indian will get a Unique Digital Health ID. This beginning can prove to be a big change in the direction of health services in the country.
- Currently starting in 6 union territories
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 15 last year announced the pilot project of the National Digital Health Campaign from the ramparts of the Red Fort. According to the information given by the Prime Minister’s Office, at present this scheme is being implemented in six union territories in the initial phase. The nationwide launch of NDHM is being done along with the third anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will also be present on this occasion.
- Big online platform will be ready
Based on infrastructure prepared as Jan Dhan, Aadhaar and Mobile (JAM) trinity and other digital initiatives of the Government, NDHM health data through a wide range of provisioning ensuring security, privacy and confidentiality of personal information, Will create a seamless online platform for information and information. With this, infrastructure services as well as standard based digital system can be availed. Under this campaign, access and exchange of health records will be enabled with the consent of citizens.
- Everyone will have their own health account
Under NDHM, every citizen will have a Health ID which will also act as their health account, to which individual health records can be linked and viewed with the help of a mobile application. This, Healthcare Professionals Registry (HPR) and Healthcare Facilities Registry (HFR), will act as a good data collection for health service providers, both modern and traditional medical specialists. This will ensure ease of doing business for doctors as well as hospitals and healthcare providers.
