New Delhi: Addressing the country’s medical community on National Medical Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said doctors had set an example by working around the clock for the past year and a half. He said during the Corona era, doctors saved lives by becoming angels. Describing the doctor as God’s way, Prime Minister Modi said doctors had saved millions of lives during the epidemic. He said health services in the country were being improved better than before.
The premier said today the medical infrastructure was being built in the country. He paid tribute to the doctors who lost their lives during the Corona era and said doctors faced every challenge. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi said the number of AIIMS in the country was increasing. Medical facilities are also expanding. Premier Modi said this year the health sector budget had doubled. People associated with the medical profession also place emphasis on yoga.
Speaking on National Medical Day, Prime Minister Modi said our country would also prosper Corona and take new developmental steps. Yoga has been very helpful in fighting Corona. At the same time, Prime Minister Modi also highlighted the work done by the government in recent times.
This event is organized by IMA. National Medical Day is celebrated annually on 1 July across the country. The day commemorates the birth and death of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the country’s chief physician and West Bengal’s second prime minister. This day is celebrated in his memory.
