New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Defense Office complexes at Kasturba Gandhi Marg and Africa Avenue in Delhi. Along with this, PM Modi also launched the new website of Central Vista Project. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, CDS Chief General Bipin Rawat and Army Chief General MM Naravane were also present on this occasion.

PM Narendra Modi said, ‘Today in the 75th year of independence, we are taking an important step towards developing the capital of the country according to the needs and aspirations of the new India. This new Defense Office Complex is going to further strengthen our efforts to make the work of our forces more convenient, more effective. He said, ‘Today, when we are busy in modernizing India’s military strength in every respect, equipping it with modern weapons, the procurement of the requirement of the army is accelerating, then the work related to the defense of the country is done in the decades-old way. Yes, how can this be possible?’

PM Modi said, ‘Those who were behind the Central Vista project with a stick, they are cleverly a part of the Central Vista project, the system is developing where more than 7000 army officers work. But he was completely silent. He said, “Now these modern offices built at KG Marg and Africa Avenue will go a long way in carrying out all the work related to the security of the nation effectively. This is a big step towards the creation of a modern defense enclave in the capital.

The Prime Minister said, ‘When we talk about the capital, it is not just a city. The capital of any country is a symbol of the thinking, determination, strength and culture of that country. India is the mother of democracy. Therefore, the capital of India should be such that in the center of which is the people and the people. Today, when we are focusing on Ease of Living and Ease of Doing Business, modern infrastructure plays an equally important role in this. This is the spirit at the core of the work being done on Central Vista today.
- ‘Defense Office Complex work completed in just 12 months’
PM Modi said, ‘The work of Defense Office Complex which was to be completed in 24 months has been completed in just 12 months. That too when all the other challenges ranging from labor were to the fore in the circumstances created by Corona. Hundreds of workers got employment in this project during the Corona period. When the policy and intention is clear, the will is strong and the efforts are sincere, then nothing is impossible, everything is possible. The construction of the country’s new Parliament building will also be completed within the stipulated time frame.
