Uttar Pradesh’s Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar issued an order saying that till October 18, policemen will be given leave only if absolutely necessary.

Lucknow: In view of the programs of United Kisan Morcha (SKM) and the festivals of Navratri and Dussehra, the Uttar Pradesh Police has issued a new order and the leave of all policemen has been canceled till October 18. During this, police officers and personnel in Uttar Pradesh will not get any leave.
- Leave will be given in extreme circumstances
Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar (ADG Prashant Kumar) issued an order in this regard and told that till October 18, the policemen will be given leave only if absolutely necessary. He said that leave will be allowed from Lucknow headquarters in extreme circumstances.
- Farmer movement announced amid festivals
In fact, during Navratri, Durga Puja pandals have been set up in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh and Ramlila is being organized. In view of the festivals, overcrowding is certain to increase in temples, Durga Puja pandals, Ramlilas, markets and public places. Meanwhile, the United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced an agitation and this has increased the challenge on the law and order front, in view of which the UP Police has decided to cancel the holidays.
- Order implemented with immediate effect
Uttar Pradesh ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that in view of the Agama festivals and programs proposed by the United Kisan Morcha, all types of holidays are being closed with immediate effect till October 18, 2021. Leave will be sanctioned from the headquarters for unavoidable reasons. This order will be effective with immediate effect.
