New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted snowfall with rain in the western Himalayan region and moderate to heavy rain in the plains of North-West India till January 9. ) is warned. However, during the next 4-5 days, there will be no cold wave conditions in North India. Orange alert has been issued in many districts of Rajasthan in view of the rain.

According to the India Meteorological Department, there will be snowfall in the western Himalayan region with rain till January 9 and after that it will reduce significantly. Heavy rain and snowfall are expected at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad on Saturday and Sunday. There is a possibility of light snowfall in Himachal Pradesh till January 9.

According to the IMD, high moisture is coming from the Arabian Sea in the lower and middle troposphere levels over northwest and adjoining central India and is likely to continue during the next 2-3 days.

According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain will continue in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, North Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh till January 9. Apart from this, there is a possibility of light rain in Madhya Pradesh till January 11 and in Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh during January 9 to 11.
