Tata Harrier 2023: Tata Motors is currently the third largest car selling company in the country. Its Tata Nexon is being bought the most in the SUV segment. However, if we talk about midsize SUV, then Mahindra has dominance in it. Tata Motors has the Tata Harrier SUV. Mahindra’s XUV 700 is being bought the most in the same segment. In such a situation, Tata has brought its Harrier in a new avatar and has added such cool features to it, which can increase the number of buyers.
In fact, the Tata Harrier mid-size SUV now comes with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistant System) feature. A 6-speed automatic transmission has also been added to it. The company has started booking for the new Tata Harrier with both these features. It was introduced at the Auto Expo 2023 in January.
- Car will brake itself
After the introduction of ADAS feature, now Tata Harrier has become quite safe. Features like Forward Collision Warning, Auto Emergency Braking, Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Alert, High Beam Assist, Blind Spot Detection, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Rear Collision Warning have been added. Its auto emergency braking feature automatically applies the brakes in case of an emergency. The SUV gets six airbags, electronic stability program (ESP) and all-wheel disc brakes.
In addition, the Tata Harrier has also been given the feature of a 6-speed automatic transmission. Till now the SUV was offered only with a manual gearbox and a torque converter. This transmission is mated to the turbocharged diesel engine, which offers around 167hp and 350 Nm of torque. Tata Harrier competes with cars like XUV700, MG Hector, Hyundai Creta, Jeep Compass and Kia Seltos.
