According to the Health Department, no new case of corona virus infection was reported in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in the last 24 hours. The number of infected in this union territory remains 7,702.

An official associated with the Health Department said that at present there are only three under treatment cases in the Union Territory and all the patients are in South Andaman district. In the other two districts – North and Middle Andaman and Nicobar – not a single patient is under treatment. At the same time, 129 patients have died due to infection, although no other person died in the last 24 hours.

At the same time, talking about the country, so far 200 cases of Omicron variant of corona virus have been reported, out of which 77 patients have recovered from the infection or have left the country.

The Union Health Ministry said on Tuesday that 54-54 cases of Omicron have been reported in Maharashtra and Delhi, while 20 in Telangana, 19 in Karnataka, 18 in Rajasthan, 15 in Kerala and 14 in Gujarat. According to the ministry, there have been 5,326 new cases of corona virus in the country, which is the lowest number of infections in 581 days and with this the total number of infection cases has reached 3,47,52,164.
