While on the one hand the increase in the price of LPG gas cylinder is putting an extra burden on the pockets of the people, on the other hand, you can save a lot by using PNG. Let’s tell how?
- LPG gas cylinder prices are touching the sky
- PNG is cheaper than LPG
- The bill comes according to the usage
New Delhi: The prices of LPG cylinders are increasing continuously in the country. In such a situation, there is a lot of burden on the pockets of the people. In such a situation, PNG gas is a good option. PNG means piped natural gas is cheaper than LPG. Let us explain about it in detail.
- Big difference in prices
Let us tell you that in the country’s capital Delhi, the price of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder without subsidy is Rs 899.50. In this way, the cost of one kilogram of gas is Rs 63.35. At the same time, even after increasing the price of PNG of Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) marginally, it is Rs 35.61 per standard cubic meter.
- It is cheaper than LPG
1 kilogram of LPG is equal to 1.16 standard cubic metres. In this way, the cost of PNG equivalent to 1 kg of LPG gas will be Rs 41.30. That is, where you pay Rs 899.50 for 1 cylinder now, only Rs 586.46 will have to be paid for the same PNG. Accordingly, if you use one cylinder every month, then you will save Rs 313.04.
- Charge is to be paid according to use
Let us tell you that for PNG you have to pay the bill according to the usage. If you use it less, the bill will come down. Apart from this, it has another advantage. In winter, the gas in LPG cylinders freezes down, but there is no such problem in PNG. Along with this, it does not take up space in your kitchen.
- There is a plan to reach PNG to 70 percent of the population
The Modi government has made a plan to provide PNG connections to 70 percent of the country’s population. About 4 crore PNG connections are to be given in about 400 districts of the country. Recently, the government completed the 11th round of bidding rounds for licensing companies for city gas distribution. CNG and PNG licenses are to be given to companies for a total of 228 areas in 27 states and union territories of the country.
