Blast in Spain: Three diplomatic missions of the country have received threatening letters a day after the letter bomb blast at the Ukraine Embassy in Spain. These letters were soaked in red ink. Interfax Ukraine quoted a senior official as saying this. The agency reported that Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said the incidents were an attempt to intimidate Ukrainian diplomats. Kubela said in a statement, ‘If they have started targeting embassies, it means they are scared of us. There was a symbolic threat to Ukraine in these letters. When these bombs were found, they were soaked in red ink.
On Wednesday, there was an explosion at the Ukrainian embassy when an employee opened the letter addressed to the ambassador. However, the condition of the injured employee in this incident is not very serious. Immediately after the incident, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba instructed to increase the security of all Ukrainian embassies. He had also requested his Spanish counterpart to take steps for an immediate investigation. Spain’s national court is investigating the case as a terrorist incident.
