New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday announced to start Precaution Dose for health workers and frontline workers from January 10. People above 60 years of age who have the disease will also be able to get the Precaution dose done from January 10 on the advice of the doctor.

On this, clinical lead doctor of Bharat Biotech, Rashes Ella tweeted that booster dose has been announced in India. After the second dose of the vaccine, the third dose is more effective at a longer interval because it produces plasma and memory cells for a longer time i.e. immunity lasts longer.
- When is the right time to take a booster dose?
In his tweet, Dr Rashes Ella said that the interval of booster dose 6 months after the second dose is ideal. This will also help reduce the risk of Omicron.
- When will the vaccination of children start?
Know that the corona vaccination of children will start from January 3. Children of 15 to 18 years will be given a dose of the vaccine. While addressing the country, PM Modi made a big announcement and said that nasal and DNA vaccine is going to come soon in the country.
It is worth noting that the cases of Omicron in the country have crossed four hundred. Maximum 110 patients have been found in Maharashtra and 79 cases have been found in Delhi so far.
PM Modi said that 141 crore vaccine doses have been administered in the country. 90% of the country’s adults have taken the first dose. Experts believe that the Omicron variant of Corona is less dangerous than the Delta but caution is necessary.
