On the question of imposing lockdown in Delhi, Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that the state government has already taken strict measures like night curfew and weekend curfew, which are sufficient for the time being. There is no need to impose lockdown now.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain said that more than 14 thousand new cases of Covid-19 can come in the national capital on Thursday. He said in the press conference that the situation in Delhi is still fine regarding the availability of beds in hospitals. Let us inform that earlier on Wednesday, 10,665 new cases of corona virus were reported in Delhi within 24 hours and 8 patients died. This is almost double the new cases in 24 hours. On Tuesday, 5481 new cases were reported in Delhi. Delhi received 2796 cases on January 1, while 3194 cases were registered on January 2 and 4099 on January 3.
