Under the 7th Pay Commission, if your basic pay is Rs 18,000, then you will get 38 percent
6840 dearness allowance is available. But if the dearness allowance is 42 percent, it will increase to Rs 7560. Similarly, if you have a basic salary of Rs 25,000, then at present you will be getting dearness allowance of Rs 9,500. But with DA being 42 percent, it will increase to Rs 10,500.
