- ‘I will contest from Amritsar East’

Sidhu said that Punjab Congress will release the list of its candidates in the next 4-5 days. Those who were not supposed to get tickets are leaving Congress and joining BJP. He said that the more the delay in the announcement of candidates, the more the party will benefit.
- ‘The current system ruined Punjab’
Sidhu alleged that the present system has ruined Punjab. Now this system has to be changed. What is the use of the system which cannot get justice to Guru Granth Sahib. The power of people’s tax should reach the people. For years, two families have been ruling Punjab, now the time has come to end it. If the system is right in the state, then everyone will work with honesty.
- ‘Punjab was looted in turn’
He said that earlier people were being misled by leaving big shigufas. The economic prosperity of Punjab was handed over to the contractors. Now Punjab was looted by the method of Teri-Meri Bari. BJP chose dacoits but they chose Punjab. Why Punjab’s PRTC buses do not go to the airport.

Navjot Singh Sidhu said, ‘The party high command will decide about the face of the CM in the state. I will not contest from Patiala but from Amritsar East. I left the Rajya Sabha and came to save Punjab. The day the administrative power will reach the right hands, the same day people will start getting justice.
- ‘Kejriwal wants to run Punjab’s remotely’

- ‘There was no security lapse, PM’s drama’
Sidhu also raised questions on the lapse in security of PM Modi in Firozpur. Sidhu said, ‘Telling life in danger is just a drama. All this drama was done to avoid humiliation. If PM Modi wanted, he could have reached the rally through helicopter but he did not do so. In fact, seeing the less crowd in the rally, he chose the return route to avoid notoriety and named it a security lapse.
