Big reshuffle for the first time in the second term of Modi government
Many became cabinet ministers including Paras, Scindia and Kiran
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet expansion program was completed at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Wednesday. 15 cabinet, 28 ministers of state took oath in Modi cabinet. Many leaders including Sarbananda Sonowal, Narayan Rane, Jyotiraditya Scindia took oath as cabinet ministers. Anupriya Patel, Kaushal Kishor etc. have been made ministers of state. Many new faces have entered the cabinet, while many leaders have resigned from the post of minister before the start of the swearing-in ceremony.
This is the first time in the second term of the Modi government that there was a cabinet reshuffle. President Ram Nath Kovind administered the oath to all the cabinet and state ministers at the swearing-in ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On this occasion, many leaders including PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh were present in Rashtrapati Bhavan.
