Lucknow: Two suspected Al Qaeda terrorists in custody, pressure cooker bombs and weapons recovered from Kakori

UP ATS has carried out a major operation in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Two suspected terrorists have been arrested in this. He is suspected of having links to the terrorist organization Al Qaeda. Both the people have been apprehended from Kakori area of Lucknow. Pressure cooker bombs and other weapons and documents have been found from them. It is suspected that these people were planning to carry out some big incident.
Right now some more people are suspected to be hiding in the house, after which the search operation is going on. It was reported that Al Qaeda terrorists are hiding in a house in Kakori area, after which a raid was conducted there.
After the information received, UP ATS raided Kakori area with commandos and heavy force. At present, the interrogation of both the arrested people is going on. ATS has also recovered a lot of documents from the building where the raid was conducted.
The name of one of the arrested suspects is Shahid. He is said to be a resident of Malihabad. The house that was raided belongs to Shahid, where he lives with his family and works as a motor garage.

Now the search operation of ATS is going on on the information that other people are hiding inside the house. It is being told that these people were going to carry out some big incident in two-three days.
What is Al Qaeda’s Uttar Pradesh connection
Al Qaeda announced the 2014 India Subcontinent. Intelligence agencies later revealed that the head of the Al Qaeda India subcontinent is a resident of Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh, whose name is Maulana Aseem Umar. Long ago Asim Umar shifted to Pakistan which later joined Al Qaeda. A few years ago, Maulana Asim Umar was killed by Afghan agencies in Afghanistan.
But the sleeper cells of Al Qaeda have been continuously caught from UP. All agencies including Delhi Police are involved in catching them.
Saifullah encounter took place in this area about three years ago. On 8 March 2017, the suspected terrorist Saifullah was killed in an operation that lasted for about 11 hours. Some weapons and documents were said to be recovered from him. Later a magisterial inquiry was ordered for this encounter.
