New Delhi: The Chief Economic Adviser to the government, K V Subramanian, has resigned from his post. He said that his term is over and now he will again return to the academic field.

K V Subramanian tweeted on Friday and said, his tenure of 3 years as Chief Economic Adviser has completed. So now I have decided to return to the academic field again. By serving the country, I got immense feeling and full cooperation from everyone.

KV Subramanian said, ‘It is a big deal to get an opportunity to serve our country. Every day when I went to North Block, I reminded myself of this responsibility. I have always tried my best to fulfill my duty.

He said, ‘I have been given tremendous encouragement and support from the government to work. In my professional career spanning nearly 30 years, I have never met a more inspiring personality than Prime Minister Narendra Modi. His intuitive understanding of economic policies reflects his determination to raise the standard of living of the common citizens.
KV Subramaniam said, ‘Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman gave him constant support. Nirmala Sitharaman’s sense of humor and easy working style in the meetings held from time to time in North Block helped in taking forward a healthy debate. Which is necessary to move the economy forward.
