Mumbai: Minister in Maharashtra government and Shiv Sena leader Anil Parab has reached the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office for questioning in the money laundering case. Before going to the ED office, he said that I swear by my son that I have not done anything wrong. The ED had summoned Anil Parab for the second time in the money laundering case and summoned him for questioning. Even before this, Anil Parab was summoned by the ED on August 29 and asked to appear on August 31, but he did not appear citing being busy in government work.

In the letter written by Sachin Waze in the NIA court, Anil Parab was also accused of corruption. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating in this matter. Sachin Vajhe had said, ‘In October 2020, Anil Deshmukh had called Sahyadri Guest House. In July-August 2020, Anil Parab called on the government bungalow. Internal orders were given regarding the post of DCP this week. These allegations were leveled by Sachin Wajhe on Anil Parab through his letter.
Vajhe had said, ‘During the meeting, Anil Parab told me to pay attention to the SBUT (Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust) complaint which was at a preliminary stage. Also I was told that the trustee of SBUT should be talked to on the negotiation of the inquiry. Along with this, I was also asked to do initial talks with SBUT for an amount of 50 crores in lieu of closing this inquiry. I refused to do so, as I do not know any of the SBUTs and I had no control over this enquiry.’
In the letter, Wajhe had further said, ‘In January 2020, Minister Anil Parab again called me to his official bungalow and asked to take an inquiry against Praudulant Contractor listed in BMC. Minister Anil Parab asked each of the 50 similar listed companies to take Rs 2 crore. Inquiry was going on against these companies on a complaint. This inquiry was going on with the CIU in the initial stages.
