- MPV will increase the tension of the competition
New Delhi: 2022 seems to be quite busy for Maruti Suzuki in which the company first launched the Celerio CNG, now the Baleno facelift is going to be launched very soon. Soon after this, the company will launch the new Ertiga facelift, which has been seen once again during the recent testing. The car seen this time looks completely ready for production and has been seen without any stickers. If sources are to be believed, the company is ready to launch this car in March. If you are waiting to buy the new model of Ertiga, then do not raise your expectations too much, as the company has made minor changes in it. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift has been given a redesigned grille, a black stripe connecting the taillamps.
- Minor changes in new Ertiga
The bumpers and headlamps of the MPV have been borrowed from the current model. The changes on the new Ertiga are so minor that it would be difficult to spot the difference between the existing and the new model if you take a quick glance. The interiors of the new Ertiga facelift are yet to be seen, however, in line with the exterior changes, minor changes can also be seen in the interior of the car. For the facelift model, the company can increase its prices marginally, at present the starting ex-showroom price of this MPV is Rs 7.97 lakh.
- 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system
We believe that the cabin could get new color upholstery and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system to give a fresh look to the interiors. Apart from this, Maruti Suzuki is going to offer features like the new MPV which include wireless phone charger, Android Auto with Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, alert multi-info display, push button start with keyless entry and cruise control. Safety features like two airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors are also going to be available here.
- Company’s 8 new vehicles in 2022
The Ertiga facelift will be powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine from the current model making 105 PS of power, mated to a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox. This engine comes with a mild hybrid system which helps in torque assist to save petrol. Here customers also get a CNG variant which is factory fitted. The Ertiga facelift is also included in the company’s plan to launch 8 new vehicles in 2022. In India, it is going to compete with Renault Triber, Mahindra Marazzo and the upcoming Kia Carens.
