Best selling SUV: Tata Nexon of Tata Motors has remained the country’s best selling SUV for a long time. At the same time, a Hyundai car made such a sales record that it defeated Maruti and Tata Motors.
Car Sales in 2022: There is a war between Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Tata Motors in terms of car sales in the country. The first three positions have been captured by these three companies only. There is competition among them even in the matter of selling maximum SUVs. Where Tata Nexon of Tata Motors has remained the best selling SUV of the country for a long time. At the same time, a Hyundai car made such a sales record that it defeated Maruti and Tata Motors.
The Hyundai car we are talking about is the Hyundai Creta. While Tata Nexon remains number one in terms of overall SUVs, Hyundai Creta continues to be number one when it comes to mid-size SUVs. If we look at the sales figures for the year 2022, then 1,68,278 units of Tata Nexon have been sold. Nexon is a sub-compact segment SUV. At the same time, Hyundai Creta remained at number two, whose 1,40,895 units were purchased. On the other hand, Maruti’s Brezza occupies the third position with 1,30,563 units sold.
The point to be noted here is that Tata Motors has the Tata Harrier SUV to compete with the Hyundai Creta, while Maruti has the Grand Vitara SUV. If sales are compared with Creta, then both Tata and Maruti vehicles are very low. For example- Tata Harrier sold only 32,258 units in the entire year 2022. That is, there is a difference of more than 1 lakh in the sales of Tata Harrier and Hyundai Creta.

The price of Hyundai Creta ranges between Rs 10.44 Lakh to Rs 18.24 Lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). The Hyundai Creta gets three engine options – 1.5-litre petrol (115PS and 144Nm), 1.5-litre diesel (115PS and 250Nm) and 1.4-litre turbo-petrol (140PS and 242Nm).
Talking about the features, it gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charging, power-adjustable driver seat and ventilated front seats.
