New Delhi/Lucknow: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Purvanchal Expressway today (November 16) at 1.30 pm (PM Narendra Modi to inaugurate Purvanchal Expressway). After the inauguration of this 340-km-long expressway connecting Lucknow to Ghazipur, connectivity with Lucknow, the capital of the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh, will improve. With this, the distance between the districts of Eastern UP from Delhi and Noida will also be reduced.

After the inauguration of Purvanchal Expressway, it will be easy to go from Noida to Ghazipur and can be reached in just 8.30 hours. The Yamuna Expressway connecting Noida to Agra is of 165 km, which can be covered in 2 hours. After this, the length of the Agra-Lucknow Expressway is 302 km, which will take 3 hours to cover. The distance of Purvanchal Expressway connecting Lucknow to Ghazipur is 341 km, which can be covered in three and a half hours. Through these three expressways, you will cover a distance of more than 800 kilometers in just 8 hours 30 minutes.

Purvanchal Expressway will pass through 9 cities of Uttar Pradesh. Due to this expressway, districts like Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Prayagraj will also benefit.

When you go up to 80 kms on Purvanchal Expressway, a cut of Ayodhya has also been given. Ayodhya is only 50 kilometers away from here. With this, Ayodhya can be reached in just one hour. A link expressway is also being built to connect Gorakhpur with Purvanchal Expressway. Overall, the UP government is working on better connectivity. This is also an attempt to fulfill the government’s target of connection with the public before the elections. It is not just the roads that are connecting two places, but they are connecting the millions of people of UP with every passing mile.

From Purvanchal Expressway, the government will get revenue of about Rs 202 crore through toll. However, at present, people will not have to pay toll tax on this expressway, that is, this journey will be free for some days. Actually, the work of collecting toll tax on Purvanchal Expressway will be given to a private company and this company will soon fix toll rates per km. Till now the rates of toll on the S Expressway are not even, but it is believed that its rates will be kept around the rates of Lucknow-Agra Expressway.

This is an access control expressway, so special care has been taken for security. This expressway of Purvanchal has been prepared according to 100 years. Special things have been taken care of in its design. 18 flyovers, 7 railway over bridges, 7 major bridges, 118 minor bridges, 13 interchanges, 8 toll plazas, 271 underpasses, 503 culverts have been built on this expressway. A total of 13 cuts are given, from where you can board and alight on this expressway.
