Syndicate Bank has merged with Canara Bank from April 1, 2020, so now the IFSC code for this bank will change from July 1. In that case, the existing IFSC code for Syndicate Bank will be valid until June 30, 2021. New codes at IFSC banking will be operational from July 1, 2021. Customers at Syndicate Bank will now be required to obtain a new IFSC code for their bank branch.
Canara Bank has issued a warning
Canara Bank has also issued a warning to customers in this regard. The Bank has also reminded Syndicate Bank customers of this by advertising. After the merger of Syndicate Bank and Canara Bank, all eSyndicate IFSCs starting with SYNB have changed. All IFSCs starting with SYNB will be disabled from 1 July 2021.
What does the bank say?
The bank also requested that customers should inform all remitters that they use the new IFSC starting with CNRB while using NEFT / RTGS / IMPS. Canara Bank also said the predecessor of Syndicate Bank Add 10000 to IFSC. For example, if the old IFSC was SYNB0003687, it will now be replaced by the new IFSC, CNRB0013687.
