Lucknow: Voting for the second phase of the UP Assembly (UP Assembly Election 2022) will be held on February 14. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is trying to bring the Yogi government back to power, addressed a public meeting in Kannauj on Saturday.
- ‘Government giving free food grains to the poor’
PM Modi said, ‘This is a double engine government, which is giving free food grains to the poor for the past several months in this time of epidemic. The poor of UP should remember that the schemes of poor welfare are knocking them in the eyes of these extreme family members.
He said, ‘They tried to play a big game with the lives of the poor by calling the Made in India vaccines the vaccine of the BJP. Our government is working with full force that every poor of UP should get the corona vaccine. But these people tried to obstruct this campaign as well.
- ‘Fighting the corona epidemic fiercely’
Speaking on Corona, PM Modi said, ‘It is the government of double engine, due to which UP has fought the biggest crisis of 100 years with the Corona epidemic. If this crisis had come during his time, had it come before 2017 then Uttar Pradesh would have got a big problem.
PM (Narendra Modi) said, ‘Lakhs of patients got free treatment under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, because there is a double engine government here. Decades old irrigation projects were completed, work was done on Har Ghar Jal Yojana, because there is a double engine government here.
The Prime Minister said, ‘UP topped the states in providing houses to the poor, because there is a double engine government here. Poor sisters should get free gas connections fast because there is a double engine government here. Lakhs of farmer families got the benefit of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, because there is a double engine government here.
- ‘UP became self-sufficient in animal husbandry’
He said, ‘We were concerned about their prosperity, their dignity in a large society associated with animal husbandry which was called backward. The tasks which seem small to them, we see in them the solution for the progress of the poor. We were concerned about those who either do not have land, or have very little. We were concerned about those sisters for whom animal husbandry is a means of self-reliance, self-respect.
Taking a scathing attack on the SP, PM (Narendra Modi) said, ‘Kanauj’s perfume industry is also a witness to the politics of extreme familyists. He defamed the perfume business here with his corruption, with his black exploits. He linked perfume with corruption. We are trying to make this perfume a global brand. We are working for this at the time of Kannauj’s perfume in the world.
- ‘Family parties are exploiting the public’
PM Modi said, ‘Describing democracy, it is said that Government of the people, by the people, for-the-people. That is, rule of the people, for the people and by the people. The very family parties of our country have changed this spirit of democracy.
Attacking the opposition parties, PM Modi said, ‘These people say – rule by family, for family, rule by family. That is, Government of the family, by the family, for the family.’
Questioning the opposition candidates, the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) said, ‘Those whose political foundation rests on crime, hooliganism and corruption can never improve. You see, how these people have given tickets to candidates, most of their candidates are history-sheeters and many are contesting from jail. The way Yogi ji’s leadership has stopped the riots, we have to give it a permanent shape. We should not allow such antics to flourish again in Uttar Pradesh.
- ‘Only BJP has treatment for goons and rogues’
The Prime Minister said, ‘Even the common voter of UP is understanding that only the BJP government has the medicine to treat the rioters and goons-rogues. For development, for employment, for investment, an environment of peace is the first condition. That’s why Uttar Pradesh is giving the highest priority to the rule of law today.
He said, ‘This solidarity is in favor of freedom from riotism. This solidarity is in favor of law and order. This solidarity is in favor of women’s safety, dignity and prosperity. Since two days, the extreme familyists have stopped seeing dreams, they have become haram. Those people were thinking that by spreading casteism, by spreading communalism, they will divide votes. But I am happy that the people of UP are voting unitedly against the mafiaists, rioters.
- ‘Then BJP government will be formed with majority’
PM Modi (Narendra Modi) said, ‘Now the contest is that the full majority government of BJP will be formed with how many more seats than before, the contest is going on. The fight in UP is not about whose government will be formed or whose government will not be formed. The whole of UP knows, the whole country knows that if it comes, only BJP will come, if it comes, it will be Yogi.
