Joe Biden Pet Dog ‘Commander’: US President Joe Biden is once again facing trouble because of his pet dog. According to AFP, there have been cases of several people being bitten by his dog Commander, some of which are incidents inside the White House. This is the second time the Biden family dog has been accused of biting employees.
Commander, a German Shepherd first arrived at the White House in 2021 as a puppy. After at least 10 incidents of him biting people, now he will have to go through a new round of training. One victim who was bitten by the commander had to be sent to the hospital.
- Jill Biden could not control the commander
In one such incident, First Lady Jill Biden could not control the young dog when it attacked a Secret Service member, CNN reported, citing a Secret Service email obtained through Freedo.
Speaking to CNN, Jill Biden’s communications director described the busy White House as a unique but “often stressful environment” for “family pets.”

Press Secretary Karin Jean-Pierre said, ‘The First Family is working on ways to make the situation better for everyone. He mentioned, “Determining a separate place for the commander to run and exercise and giving him more training.”
The commander was briefly sent back to the Biden family home in Delaware in 2021, after at least one bite, and underwent additional training. He was later sent to live with family friends. By the way, the Biden couple also have a cat – a short haired tabby named Willow.
