The instant messaging app WhatsApp keeps on bringing new features to make the chat experience of users more fun than before. In this episode, now WhatsApp has made a big change in its calling user interface. The new UI is being rolled out for individual as well as group calling. The company is offering the new calling UI with WhatsApp beta version 2.21.140.11 for iOS devices.
UI similar to Apple’s FaceTime app
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the new calling UI of WhatsApp is very similar to Apple’s FaceTime app. With the new interface, users will be able to access other options during calling. In the updated UI, the company is also giving a ring button at the bottom. In the latest WhatsApp beta version, you can join the group call back when it is missed.
‘Tap to Join’ button to join missed call
After updating to the new version, if someone invites you to join a group call, but for some reason you miss the call, the next time you open WhatsApp, you can join the call provided the call is in progress. For this, the company is giving the option of ‘Tap to join’ in the update.
Will be rolling out soon for Android beta users too
Right now this feature is being rolled out in the WhatsApp beta version for iOS. It is expected that the company will also roll it out for Android beta testers in the coming days. WABetaInfo said that the company is rolling out this feature in batches for beta users and it will reach all users in the coming few days. No official information has been given by the company about when the stable version of this update will be released.
