Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BJP Yogi Adityanath told a press conference on Saturday that the BJP has won 635 out of 825 seats of the block chief in the state. “Elections were held for 825 Kshetra Panchayats. Of these, BJP had fielded its candidates on 735. 14 were given to its allies and 76 were such seats where both the candidates belonged to the BJP,” he said.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “There were a total of 90 seats that were left vacant. Out of these, 14 were given to their allies and the remaining 76 for those workers where BJP workers had made their preparations. 735 candidates were given to the BJP. Has given its support. The results which have come out so far are victory with more than 635 seats with all its allies and all supporters.”
Significantly, in the three-tier panchayat elections of Uttar Pradesh, 349 Kshetra Panchayat chiefs were declared elected unopposed in the state on Friday, while voting for 476 posts was held on Saturday. On Friday, a Bharatiya Janata Party functionary had claimed that 334 of the Kshetra Panchayat chiefs elected unopposed belong to the Bharatiya Janata Party. In Uttar Pradesh, however, the opposition, especially the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress, have accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party of rigging and murder of democracy in the election of Kshetra Panchayat chief.
On the other hand, retaliated, Bharatiya Janata Party’s state president Swatantra Dev Singh said in a statement issued late on Friday, “After the formation of the BJP government under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, development and good governance have been achieved by ending casteism and corruption in the state.” The state has been established. This is the reason that even in the three-tier panchayat elections being held in the state, the BJP is consistently winning. This victory is the people’s seal on the policies of the BJP.
