According to the data, the number of active cases has increased to 1,07,189, which is 0.25 percent of the total cases of infection, while the recovery rate from covid-19 is 98.55 percent.

According to the Ministry of Health, the daily rate of infection was 3.40 percent and the weekly rate was 3.59 percent. The number of people recovering from this disease has increased to 4,28,36,906 while the death rate is 1.21 percent. At the same time, 197.74 crore doses of corona vaccine have been given across the country so far.

Last year on May 4, the number of infected people in the country had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.

According to the data, out of 23 patients who lost their lives in the country in the last 24 hours, 15 were from Kerala. Three patients died in Maharashtra and one each in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan and West Bengal. The Health Ministry said that out of those who have died due to corona virus infection so far, more than 70 percent of the patients also had other serious diseases. The ministry said on its website that its figures are being matched with the data of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
